Just saw this on yahoo, a response tonthe banana chart...seems different stages of ripeness have different health benefits. I knew the riper ones were much sweeter but here's some other info.... http://www.businessinsider.com/ripe-unripe-bananas-which-are-better-for-you-2018-7
Some days back, I just couldn't pass by Smith's surplus produce rack, nice bag of very ripe bananas sitting there for 99 cents, 8 in there. My wife noted small black spots here & there, not many, and sure enough, under the spot the meat was quite over-ripe. She put them in her blender adding just enough water to puree, and froze them in sealed bags, to be used in banana bread or cakes! Frank
I love them all no favorites. We have here all types of bananas red and different types like rulo, and platino. All have a different taste and cooking stiles.
If they are too green..makes my mouth all itchy. I like firm and ripe to eat by itself. However bananas are another item in the food chain that we all are suppose to avoid.BS to me ...but hey just pointing that out
We have had several new people in the past three years, so let's let some of our new members weigh in.
