My daughters' beloved and adored elder labradoodle died in the early hours of this morning in her arms , after another stroke. Even though we've expected it for a long time, it makes it no less devastating. My daughter is just heartbroken as we all are I will miss that big boy so much.. I love you Scruffy...play again like you did when you were a pup with your brothers, gone before you over the Rainbow bridge.. R.I.P my lovely big lad ... I will see you again one day...
I'm so sorry to hear that, Holly. It was only recently when I saw the first pics of him in your thread. You'd mentioned his age... R.I.P. Scruffy.
Oh, @Holly Saunders , I am so sad to hear that, and crying along with you on the loss of your darling Fuzzy Grandkid. I am glad that you were able to be there and spend some time with him before he passed away, and it sounds like it was a peaceful passing at home and in your daughter’s arms. I know you will be grieving for a long time, just as I am grieving for my Chipper. At least we can think of them, happy and playing, and maybe looking down at us, from some Doggie Heaven over the Rainbow bridge. Sending you heartfelt hugs for your loss of your beloved Scruffy.
Sorry to hear that...that's the hard part of having pets....knowing you will lose them eventually. I don't remember how old he was but I'm sure he had a good and happy life with your daughter.
As I'm such a dog lover, I'm very, very sorry for your loss. Dogs and cats are such a large part of a family. BTW, very nice looking Labradoodle!
The best that we can hope for regarding beloved pets, is to know in advance we have entrusted their care in good hands, then precede them on our own final journey. Frank
You have my deepest sympathy, @Holly Saunders. I know the grief you must feel. Please extend my sympathy to your daughter, too. Send her these {{{{Hugs}}}}.
Thank you ((everyone)) he's going to be missed hugely... and thank you @Ken Anderson & @Cody Fousnaugh he was a beautiful do with the sweetest nature as are all my grandfurbabies.. That photo was one I took of him just last month, even though he was very poorly, he still loved to spend time having his photo taken by me..
The same as I prayed for comfort and peace for my wife when she lost Chipper, I also pray for yours as well Holly.
