I have never had a dog, except as a kid, but I know what it feels like to lose a cat, and I still grieve for cats who have been dead for years, particularly when I come across the photos.
I have always had dogs on my own. They either ran away or were hit by a car or stolen. With my last and final friend my experience of his death having raised him from a pup to it's natural death was one that I never wish to experience again. I loved that dog so, so much ...
OMG Von...stolen or , escaped or killed.. wow!!! but yes, we've always raised dogs from puppies and it's just heartbreaking when they die I agree . My husband won't let me have a dog now because he was so upset when his last dog died at 17 years old, that dog went everywhere with him, and he refuses to get attached to another one.. I live vicariously through my daughter's dogs... my beloved Grandfurkids.. , just a shame they live overseas now and I only get to see them a couple of times a year...but I have lots of pictures and videos..
