I am guessing that magazine and newspaper subscriptions are down considerably from a few decades ago. There was a time when I subscribed to two newspapers and often bought a third one from the newsstand, and I subscribed to a half dozen magazines, reading most everything as they came in. There was no Internet then.

Not only do I not subscribe to any newspapers now, but I rarely buy one, and don't often read them online. A couple of the restaurants we go to set newspapers that others have left behind aside, and I'll read them sometimes. As for magazines, I subscribe to Anabaptist Voice and Self Reliance. I get Backwoods Home on Kindle but rarely read it, and wish they still published a paper version, since I always read that. I was subscribing to Reminisce and Good Old Days but I must have let the subscription lapse because I don't think I've received either of those for a while. Sometimes I'd read most of them, but often I wouldn't even open them.

I get magazine subscriptions with points just for doing surveys. I still do the surveys and let my points add up because I've gotten all the subscriptions that I wanted.

I read newspapers online..usually 3 different ones per day to get different perspectives..including, Spanish and American news..

I rarely buy a newspaper, not for years in fact...but if there's one left lying around ..especially a Broadsheet I'll pick it up..

I read our local town newspaper online every week... never much in that but it keeps us up to date on local issues

I have 2 Magazine subscriptions, one bi-monthly and the other monthly... they both come in hard copies.. in fact one arrived yesterday and the other today, the monthly one I look forward to immensely..the bi-monthly however because it arrives once a fortnight doesn't always get read straight away, so I often have to binge read 3 or 4 at a time after they've piled up..... but I also have the apps for both on my phone and kindle too...

Oh, I read articles from newspapers when it's something that interests me but I don't go to a newspaper site in order to see what they are reporting today or anything like that. Most of the news that I get is from the radio or Facebook. From there, I search out more information, and to see if I can figure out if any of it is true.

    No subscriptions here!

I read the local news, obituaries, etc... for free in the online version of the local newspaper every morning.

If I get wind of a major news story then I google and read various sources to get an idea of what is happening.

We get two magazine subscriptions, Farm & Ranch and Country. Use to get a magazine called American Cowboy. Just goes to prove who we really are...…….in our hearts, anyway.

The last job that I had was working for a company that sold newspaper subscriptions. We were paid on commission for each subscription that we sold.
At first, I made pretty decent money, and usually only worked weekends and part time during the week. However, as more and more people turned to online news sources, the subscriptions kept dropping.
The main thing that we sold was the Sunday paper, and that was because of the coupons in the paper, and not because of any of the content. Some people even had more than one subscription for the Sunday paper so that they had more coupons.
It made it hard for the delivery drivers, too; because they had a huge load on Sunday, and very little houses during the week, and they also got paid by the amount of papers delivered.
Finally, it just was not worth paying us the commissions for the subscriptions, because people would drop them in a short time, and I no longer had that job.
People that do not get their information online see all of the news on television, and with the 24 hour nes channels, newspapers are pretty much becoming obsolete.

I haven’t had any magazine subscriptions for many years either, but I used to get Mother Earth News, Horse and Rider, Western Horseman, and Arabian Horse World, back when I had my Arab stallion and was raising Arabians. Even if I still had horses, I would probably get the online subscription for magazines now anyway.

When I got married, I subscribed to 27 magazines and 1 or 2 newspapers and read every one cover-to-cover. My new wife was shocked at all the subscription bills, so I cut down to 8 or 10. That has tapered off during the years, and now I subscribe to nothing. During the winter, I read foreign newspapers online as long as it is free (mostly British), but I seldom access local ones unless there is a particular subject I want to know.

Magazine subscribions are a pain in the butt.

I had many of the poplar woman's ones awhile ago but I'd usually see by the checkout counter before I got mine.

Then my ex ordered a bunch and after he left I would periodically get those filling up my mailbox even though he said he stopped them.

Finally had to call each one on the phone myself....

I actually still get mail for him here after 10 yrs. just recently he got a jury summons...I just threw it out.

He doesn't live here and he's sick and too old anyway...he probably wouldn't serve in Ohio where he lives now.

I subscribe to Reader's Digest, Southern Living, Better Homes and Gardens, and the AARP magazine. I still like to read things the old fashioned way. And since so many people don't like to read that way anymore the subscription prices are now really low. When I'm finished reading mine I pass them on to family, friends, and neighbors who still like to read them too.

Oh I forgot..I subscribe to Family Circle too. :)

I used to bring some to my regular Doctor's Office too Holly but now that we are Senior Citizens someone thinks we need a separate Doctor for every part of our body, etc. So I don't have enough magazines to go around to all of them. :)
