I do that sometimes, but sarcastically. Mostly, I think these types of interjections are intended to stall for time, so that someone can think of what to say next. After a while, perhaps it becomes a verbal habit.
...or 'like''.. I mean, like I couldn't like get my head round your post. I mean I was like, really trying bu I mean it just wouldn't, like, go into my brain...
LOL...errrrrm... my husband would think I'd lost my mind asking him to join me on ANY forum ...although I do read snippets out to him occasionally if they're interesting or weird...
My husband died before I even got on the internet for the most part anyway...think he had only a few more months when I joined my first forum...it was a great distraction for me since I could barely leave the house at that time. But, even if he was a live now, he wouldn't join unless it was a hunting or gun forum. He might have liked The Backwoods forum though.
My husband is a member of a large car forum but he's never once posted on there. He just reads it...lol
Mine too..Cars building and watches... I don't know if he's a member of a watch forum tho'.. Right now he's in the garden in the sun fitting a wrought iron railing along our borders.. I'm indoor out of me beloved sunny garden because I'm not feeling very well, so this calms me on here..
My wife is on several local Facebook groups, mostly about farming and gardening. The rest of her time is spent working (Winter) or in the garden. She used to spend a lot of time with her goats, but she had to give them up when I got hurt and could no longer do the heavy work for her. She said Spring is her least favorite time of the year, as it begins with bad mud, then goes into a frenzy of tilling, planting, and cleaning. She enjoys Summer when she can admire her flowers, and looks forward to Fall when things slow down into Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. I don't think she would enjoy being on here, even though some of you have a lot in common with her. I try to post on here as I can, at least morning and evening Alaska time. I am sure things will pick up as Fall and Winter approach.
Well my husband and I met each other on a Christian Forum (which I've posted before) and we've been happily married for many years now so I'm thankful that at one time he did participate in Forums. Although he doesn't do forums anymore or even use a computer for anything since his vision has become so bad...I still read him some of the interesting posts and will research anything he needs researched on our computer. He's rather play out side any day than play on the computer...but I'm happy to be here.
Some days it is very quiet, others not so much. Yes, new blood is always good and we have had a few very nice people join that are contributing. Thinking of @Nancy Hart and @Beatrice Taylor .... Some days I post non stop almost, other days I'm more quiet and just read. Some days I'm sulking about something, lol I also know I have a problem taking threads off topic, so when I'm trying to watch that....I don't post.
Thanks! I have similar problems with taking a thread off-topic or jumping into someone else's thread because I'm too lazy to start one of my own. Sometimes I have to remind myself that I already know what I think so I don't really gain anything by sharing my thoughts, the important thing for me should be reading other peoples posts to find out what they think. Have a great day!
