Does that mean I should be eating lots of fat to keep feeding my brain ???? What if my brain gets so fat that it is considered an obese brain?? Is that good or do I become extra smart?? How come when I eat fat, it goes to my belly and not to my brain ?? Maybe I should move my brain to my belly and let it eat away all the fat there.... Then I would be thin and smart at the same time.........
All good questions even if they were in fun. The human brain does not have fat cells per se but does need saturated fats to function so yes, in a way, when you eat saturated fats such as is found in pork, dairy products and fatty beef, you can at least expect your brain to function better. That said, the caveat is that the human body DOES have fat cells and saturated fats are not necessarily good in large quantities. They get stored up and mess around with all sorts of chemical processes not to mention jacking up your LDL. And yes, I do suppose you could move your brain to your belly because we all know that many men have already moved it a few inches lower than that.
Fortunately for me, I moved my brain back where it belongs about 50 years ago but even then, it would somehow relocate itself every now and then. And, as an addendum to my last post, Omega 3 fatty acids are also needed for the brain to be healthy. Bottom line, everything we eat affects our brain to some degree.
The happiest city in Canada is................... SUDBURY, ONTARIO.... Now, that is one hour east of where I live and we are there at least twice a month.. This survey was taken recently..
