In the 8th. grade, I wanted a Cushman motor scooter so badly, I caused plenty of household difficulty. My folks explained first, a driver license is needed. I countered that with I'd drive it only on the sidewalk! This harangue went on for several weeks before I finally gave it up. Idea was, I could impress the girls in my class........I was beginning to notice things like how tight they wore their skirts! Uncomfortable myself with tight constricting clothing, I nevertheless fully appreciated how they squeezed into theirs....... Frank
Come to think about, Shirley, I had a number of dreams that I was like Superman. I would take a jump into the air and start flying. However, don't know if you are talking about Superman or flying a plane.
When I was a young teen I wanted to marry one of the Beatles. Now that was really stupid because even if by some strange chance that could have happened I would have been miserable. I don't like crowds or being out in public and the Beatles lives were lived 247 in the spotlight.
@Cody Fousnaugh , I meant I wanted to fly sort of like Superman, I guess. But a lot slower, more like a bird except without the flapping of wings. Soar like an eagle, so to speak. One thing still on my bucket list is to fly in a hot air balloon. Imagine being able to look down as the Earth drifts slowly by underneath.
