No, I can't do it myself. I'll wait til I go to my daughter's for a week in October to watch the grandson while they go to Hawaii and I'll also get my highlights then which are also desperately needed.
Yes, these styles all look great on the young faces I wouldn't dare do any pastel colors....my daughter would disown me. I'm best blonde anyway.
I did it. Cut it just like this a few days ago, and last night put in some highlights. I got the highlights a little too wide, so it's more like blonde patches, but I can do better with some practice. You have to use goopy stuff to make it spike. The only thing I don't like, if you put on glasses, the hair eventually pops out over top of the frames, even with a lot of goop. I think it's going to be ok though. [ps: I put duct tape over her mouth because whatever she was doing was weird and distracting. ]
I guess I am a weirdo as I have never dyed, bleached, or colored my hair. It was always dark brown and started turning gray at 35. I never minded the gray and now with a silver glow to it, I love it. I have young ladies asking me what brand and color I use. I tell them Faye 69 Gray Silver Glow. Ha ha ha!
I've only colored my hair twice once at 17 or 18 auburn and the second black last year just to remember what my hair looked like before the gray. It took about 4 or 5 months of shampooing revealed the gray again. Not that I don't like gray hair which is mostly in the back and not a lot more salt and peppery. My hair has always been the same length and I like it. Clip my own split ends when needed. Never thought about getting it cut.
@Von Jones I m letting mine grow and I stopped blow drying it so it is getting all curly again by just bushing it up and letting it dry. I think I will let it get just below the ears and then keep it trimmed and bushed up. I have darker brown with gray in the back, sort of opposite of yours.
Unfortunately I am going back to my salt and pepper hair. Since my arms can't move much I can barley wash or comb it. Cost too for shop to color. My signature thick red hair was me crown and glory ...but now it's thin and just not the same. I am gonna feel ugly.....my hair is the only thing I was ever vain about.
