It's more annoying to me when I post the same song over and over because my mind is starting to fade, LOL!!!
Absolutely amazing, Holly! You must have been pretty young when some of hose songs were popular. Could you get Hee-Haw when you were young in the UK? I remember it being quite popular in the Vietnam era.
No we never did get Hee-haw in the UK...in fact we never got anything on TV or any radio stations at all, dedicated to Country music, in fact we still get very little. What we heard only were, the chart toppers who were played on mainstream radio stations , like Jim Reeves, etc.. I was very young when Jim reeves was my mums' favourite singer... I think I was 8 years old when he died.. I came to Country music in my teens when I discovered it by accident while buying second hand 45's in the market!!...I've loved it ever since.. and of course with the advent of Youtube I've discovered waaaay much more than I would ever have known about..like jean Sheppard.. Johnny Lee... Jim ed brown and his sisters.. the carter sisters.., just as a tiny example ...
I'm sorry guys you'll have to excuse my writing, I've just read it back in the cold light of morning and it sounds like a child. I'm on medication which is fogging my brain so please make allowances until it settles down..
I like this one. Hadn't heard it in a long time, years. If I'd known I'd live this long I would have, should have bought myself a laptop steel guitar.
