Frank.. I truly sympathise with your wife about those needles especially in the eye.. She will be frozen in the eye way before the needle comes anywhere near her.. What ever happened before the needle was invented.. Personally, I can have a bad day without those poking objects inserting in me, but there is NO choice.. The story sounds rather gory, but that is the way it will be done.. Have confidence in the doctor and remember, this isn't the first time he (or she) is doing this procedure.. Experience is priceless.. The end result will definitely be worth it................. Vision is important.. Again, wish her all the best and we both know that in the end, after it is all over, she will be OK....
I have an appointment to get my flu shot Tuesday. I have been getting them for at least 20 years and never had a reaction worse than a little touchiness in the area the next day. I have said it before and I'll say it again; if you have ever almost died from flu, you will get the shot. It makes a real believer out of you.
Just got mine today at Walgreenss....got the super flu shot since I'm a senior. Barely felt the shot itself....hopefully I won't hurt later.
Well it's been 3 hrs and don't feel a thing...knock on wood. I barely felt the shot...wasn't watching so hope he did it.
I got mine Tuesday. The only side effect I have had is a bit of tenderness at the site of the injection. That only lasted one day.
Well it's almost 24 hrs since my shot and I feel nothing. My arm isn't even sore. If I try hard enough maybe I can feel the slightest tenderness but that's only sometimes. I even slept on it last night. Hope nothing changes....so far so good.
Well I did so well with the flu shot that I put my name on the list for the shingles shots (there seems to be a shortage). I will have a copay of $40 per shot for that but oh well. Will also be getting the pneumonia ones but will talk to my dr first.
100% of the times that I have gotten a flu shot, I have gotten the flu. In all of the days of my life that I have not gotten a flu shot, I have had the flu only twice, so I'll play the odds.
@Ken Anderson , yeah, well, when you are lying in the bed moaning and groaning, we'll all send our deepest sympathy. Just kidding.
I haven't gotten the flu shot and probably won't. I can't take the normal dosage of anything without experiencing side effects and they're not light either. Because of this, I would rather take my chances.
