There is so much CGI graphics it is hard to know when your seeing actual footage. I watched one out of Russia and they were showing a rocket in flight how could they do that is there two rockets one with just a camera to take a picture of the other. When you see a landing who took the camera there???

A rocket launch and its trajectory can be filmed by satellites and that's what they did.

Landings are filmed by cams mounted on the rocket/shuttle or module.

When asked what they would take along on a trip to Mars, European women's first choice was "moisturizer".

That's an interesting thought, @Joe Riley . I wonder what our friends here would answer to that question.

My answer would be deodorant. Or, maybe, soap first.

Well, then, you live and learn. Thanks, Joe. BTW, how many tons would they need on such a long journey and thereafter? And, would there have been an alternative answer possible if you're asked by a beauty magazine? I know, too many questions when we are expected to just enjoy.

    Packing for Mars Review:

"Space is a world devoid of the things we need to live and thrive: air, gravity, hot showers, fresh produce, privacy, beer. Space exploration is in some ways an exploration of what it means to be human. How much can a person give up? How much weirdness can they take? What happens to you when you can’t walk for a year? have sex? smell flowers? What happens if you vomit in your helmet during a spacewalk? Is it possible for the human body to survive a bailout from space? "

"To answer these questions, space agencies set up all manner of quizzical and startlingly bizarre space simulations. As Mary Roach discovers, it’s possible to preview space without ever leaving Earth. From the Space Shuttle training toilet to a crash test of NASA’s new space capsule (cadaver filling in for astronaut), Roach takes us on a surreally entertaining trip into the science of life in space and space on Earth."
