Well, after donning my Santa hat, yesterday, my momentum kicked into second gear, and I got all the breakable ornaments on the tree (both sides).....minus the two that I broke. I failed to mention Mary's little red tree that she displays in the bathroom. The picture on the wall (newly re-framed) is titled "1909 Winter in New Hampshire", and was her Grandma's.
While decorating the tree, we like to play Christmas albums. One we like is a very young looking Kate Smith's album!
Well, we finished decorating our tree! With the extra helpers, we were done in record time! Rudy, our Christmas rooster & Rocky our Christmas mouse, stepped in and ......watched. us. decorate. Will post tree pictures later.
@Joe Riley , that's a pretty Christmas tree. Do you suppose that Melania was inspired to decorate the White House with red trees by your wife's red tree?
Here is Armand, my armadillo, all dressed for Christmas. It's too hot here in Florida for reindeer, so Santa uses eight tiny armadillos to pull his ….uh.....airboat.
Good help is hard to find, Nancy! I found a container marked "extra hooks", that I picked up last year. They were made in China..... each, was a simple, short, thin wire with a slight bend at each end. They were tangled in a solid ball! When I suggested to my "helpers" that they might work at untangling them... they wanted no parts of it! Rudy just gave me that "You gotta be kidding!" look, and Rocky just ignored me.
