Actually, when Cutie and Lydia were younger, the desk I was using had two pull-out writing sections, one on each side of my chair, where they would most always hang out. I was between them, so they couldn't fight. It was perfect.
Oh, yeah, like a cat would be willing to loll on that instead of the papers you are working on...… We used to have a house bunny that thought he was a cat. If you were trying to read a book or a newspaper or the instructions to something, he felt that was the ONLY place in the house he could take a nap. The cat, on the other hand, thought he was a dog and the dog was convinced she was a human. Now the only pets I have are dust bunnies, and they stay obediently under the bed until I sweep them out. They don't seem to mind my snoring.
There is an advantage to having a dog rather than a cat. A dog can't jump up onto your keyboard. I have a second desk chair right beside me with a nice soft pillow in it. That's where Miki likes to lie while I'm on the computer.
Not only can they, but they enjoy doing it. One of my cats remapped my keyboard once, and I couldn't even figure out how to do that.
Wrong we have a tiny toy chihuahua... most cats are bigger than her, and she loves to jump on the keyboard
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can hardly wait to tell my son! Yesterday, my best best cat was gone 13 years. He died at 19.5. We loved him so much, we mourn him and cherish him to this day and forever. Wow.
