As Gizmodo reports below: https://gizmodo.com/google-removes-nearly-all-mentions-of-dont-be-evil-from-1826153393 Google has recently removed its 'Don't Be Evil' motto from prominence. In a somewhat related development, it looks to have crossed its much ballyhooed 'creepy line': What do you think, Google's trend for the future, or just coincidence?
I haven'y used Google for a search engine for years. I use DuckDuckGo or StartPage. The issue for me was google just getting too much info from me.
It's definitely better to avoid Google whenever possible. That said, it is not always possible, as I find research on Google a lot faster and easier....except of course for conservative-based info, which is usually buried deep in the results, plus it's not always easy to predict just what topics will trigger its leftist-suppression response.
Reportedly, there is a Google app in Indonesia that is intended to help Muslims enforce Sharia Law, in which individuals can report cases of blasphemy.
I wonder when they'll be introducing into the USofA? I'm sure the people in Detroitistan, Phiadelphiastan, DCistan and Cedar Rapidistan.
Yep, I was getting to it. Just thought I'd let the SJW-commies and NPC drones simmer down, before i stirred them up again.
//www.cylance.com/en-us/lp/zero/index.html?utm_source=Google&utm_medium=Display&mrlc What's going on in the browser business? What is Microsoft up to?
I forget what Microsoft calls their new browser (in version 10, I think), but I think they still have the Internet Explorer. As for their search, what was previously known as MSN Search is now Bing.
Part of it has been that both government and media have placed the burden of censorship onto the search engines and social media companies. No one expects a publisher to control who has access to the books they publish, and libraries generally are not expected to control the content of the newspapers they offer to the public or the books and magazines available. The cybeer folks have taken this to be an opportunity to control access to what they provide.
I don't think the government or media have placed any burden of censorship on tech companies at all. It has long been known that a website owner could pay Google for the privilege of being in the "top 5" results of a search. More and more internet tech giants such as facebook, twitter, Yahoo, etc. are run by liberals, so that's just the way the cookie crumbles. The old adage "believe half of what you see and none of what you hear" has never been more relevant.
This censorship come from some where higher than government. For example twitter threaten to censor Trump and did shut down his account once than claimed it was a mistake. But if you make one mistake they don't like your gone.
