I'm hooked on the John Grisham novels.. January 15th my Kindle will receive a book about Robert E. Lee's father, Lighthorse Harry Lee hero of the Revolutionary War. I am a Civil War Buff and enjoy books about that period.

    @Lon Tanner
Grisham is great! My wife reads on Kindle whenever we drive somewhere; that alleviates her anxiety over my driving habits!

Most every night, and while in waiting rooms or in restaurants, sometimes, plus I often used Kindle books in research for work. For the past year or more, I have been reading either free Boy Scout novels from the early 1900s or memoirs from a slew of unremarkable people about growing up wherever it was that they grew up.

I love reading on my Kindle Fire ! Even though it can also be used for internet searches, just like a lager tablet, or a laptop; I really do. Not do anything with my Kindle except for reading books on it.
I belong to bookbub.com and also bookgorilla.com, so there almost always have free books from Amazon that I get, or at least at a big discount.
I also have Amazon First Reads, and every month they give you a choice of several books, and you can choose one for free. This month, they are giving away two free books, so that is even better !

I read a variety of books, sometimes several at once, depending on what I feel like reading at the time. I have also been getting the free knitting and crochet books from Amazon , and that is much easier than having the regular knitting books, and they don’t get lost as easily.

I've got three books going at the moment, but none on the kindle. I read a lot on my kindle, especially the ones that don't take a lot of thought, but I have no kindle books going at the moment.

Love the Kindle, usually read biographies and true stories
Usually light hearted, but this time I've ordered a true, grim story so also got comic quotes on the go as well :p

I have a Kindle..I have about 7 books on there, but I only ever use the kindle when I'm travelling or waiting at appointments..

I much prefer the feel of a Real Hardback book

    What's a Kindle?
    Is it similar to this?

I'm pretty sure it is the singular of Kindling wood.
So it would be one stick to light your fire.

History of the Plaque in London, 1865 by Daniel Defoe that I got from the Gutenberg site. That is my current "downstairs read" on the Kindle.

I read Kindle books on my mini iPad. I have a one hundred twenty-one book on there,
All read save one and that's what I'm reading now: "As Far As The Eye Can See" by
Mark Nepo. Currently ready this one aloud to my wife. About half my books are western,
the others a dukes mixture of mystery, nonefiction, three romance novels, a a few on
meditation. About fifteen percent of my reading are hardback books from the library, Daniel
Silva and John Le Carrie and John Grisham.

Yes, I read on a Kindle, and a Fire tablet, and my phone, and even regular books (gasp). Right now I'm reading a murder mystery and since my husband is gone to play dominoes I'm hearing random scary sounds in the house.

@Beth Gallagher just curious, would that be 'Texas 42' your husband plays?

Played a lot of Dominoes in the Air Force, learned most of the games.

Now wife and I play a lot of Backgammon to pass the time.
