I'm so not understanding why his actions are being excused by saying he's an affectionate person. What he does is not affectionate .. it's creepy. And though it may not have ended up in "sex" it is still an assault. There is something seriously wrong with that man who thinks nothing of what he is doing and something even more wrong with those who excuse those actions. I just don't get it and find it very disturbing that it's so accepted.
I find it disturbing that 23 women have accused Trump of actual sexual assault yet it is accepted...............
I have met Joe Biden on several occasions. Family affairs wedding funerals etc. Do not socialize but we know each other when we see each other. He hugs me and my wife every time we see him. My wife is from a family of huggers, hugs all round to every one everytime.
When Republicans do it, it's groping. When Democrats do it, it's described as a hands-on approach to politics. Personally, I don't know that Biden is a pervert. I think he's just creepy. A common Democrat political tactic, these days, is to have women come forward to make up stories against anyone whose campaign or appointment they hope to terminate. They are, I think, coming very close to overdoing this, as people aren't so quick to believe them any more. I wouldn't be surprised to find that there is an employment agency for women willing to make up lies for a price. Although usually used against Republicans, Democrats are simply employing the same tactic against opponents in their own Party. No doubt, the women who are coming forward to make accusations against Joe Biden are either paid, or are simply supporters of one of his primary opponents. They rarely even add twists to the strategy. It usually goes like this. At a critical point in a political campaign, a woman comes forward to make an accusation. Despite the lack of anything even suggesting credibility, the media talks about nothing else for two weeks, if the accused is a Republican. Those who want to believe it do so immediately, and a few others get drawn in. Then a second woman comes forward. Some others, who were hesitant to believe the accusations of the first woman, given that she had never mentioned it before, will now start to wonder if maybe there is something to it, given that two women have now made the accusation. If the candidate is still in the running, additional women will come forward, now often coming in clumps of two or three. As a result, cowardly members of the candidate's own political party will start to abandon him, calling for his bowing out of the race, or otherwise distancing themselves. Otherwise, they'll bring someone forward to supposedly corroborate some of the stories, again with no evidence other than their word. In the past, that was all that it would take, but it doesn't always work anymore. People have become aware that women do lie, particularly when there is a political reason for them to do so. Such women nearly always fade away once there is no longer a political need for them. It never goes beyond the court of public opinion because that's what it's all about. The sad thing is that we've nearly reached the point when most people aren't going to believe them even when they are telling the truth.
You got some real blinders on dontcha! None of the women that have complained about Biden have accused him of any any sexual intrusion at all. None! In contrast all the woman that have accused trump have complained about unwanted sexual advances. exclusively without exception unanimously. You can see the difference can't you?
Now here’s where the trouble begins Pete. When I read Ken’s post, I didn’t see any comparison to Trump vs Biden but merely a lengthy but true proposition on how sexual misbehavior is introduced into the political system via those who are against a candidate. He didn’t even indicate that Biden was a perpetrator of such indiscretions but merely that he is creepy, which to me, he is. After all, skinny dipping in front of female secret service agents isn’t something we hear of every day, now is it? Where the “blinders” are obviously in abundance is when someone can deny that such sexual connotations are brought up at exact times in someone’s campaign especially as of late, a republican campaign. Now, at last, it would seem that Biden, a democrat is denoted as being “creepy” by many who are in the know far more than I but alas, even the pictures I have seen are to me, a little creepy. They do depict someone who is much bolder than I and when it comes to little girls on laps, a little more carefree than I would be comfortable with. But then, I am not comfortable with little girls on Santa Clause’s lap in this day and age. Now let’s see, where’s that democrat hero Bill Clinton? Maybe he should run for office? If we’re going to do comparisons, then let’s REALLY do some comparisons.
Creepy is replacing Uncle Joe as the description. Interesting to me is the content this article. Is Joe Biden Pure Enough for the Party? After allegations of inappropriate touch, the party of zero tolerance wonders if it can tolerate Joe Biden. Now, it is Biden accused of making women uncomfortable, by inappropriately touching or kissing them on the head. It is Biden, under attack for failing to adequately defend law professor Anita Hill the following year as she told the Judiciary Committee of being sexually harassed by then-Supreme Court nominee Clarence Thomas. It is now Biden, mulling a third run for president, who may feel he is under the same klieg lights he described in the 1990 Judiciary hearings, being judged in a court of law. But this court is made up largely by his own Democratic Party, one which embraces the MeToo movement but some say is moving so far to the left it may alienate traditional Democrats. An energized progressive wing is demanding a zero-tolerance policy on everything from a too-long hug to stances on Medicare for All and criminal justice. "Democrats are competing for the progressive wing of the party, and right now I think the purity test is a pretty strong one," says Corey Cook, dean of the School of Public Service at Boise State University. "They could end up choosing a candidate that's less electable, if they decide the best candidate is the purest one, with the fewest warts in a progressive Democratic Party. Ultimately, they may end up hurting their own election chances," he says. https://www.usnews.com/news/politic...ll-progressive-democrats-bring-down-joe-biden Being true to progressive thinking, and seemingly helping destroy Biden could work.
I certainly find the videos of Biden leaning into children's personal space and them leaning away and looking distressed to be disgusting. But as a woman of a certain age, I remember plenty of creepy men leaning into personal space and it was just considered acceptable. Since Joe is an old guy, he might just need some instruction on the new world of "hands off." Personally I believe it is the progressive Democrats who are behind this; they know Biden would be the nominee and they want to see "Beto" or one of the other pack of half-wits get the nod.
