My cousin's name is Patsy. I thought it was short for Patricia but no it's just Patsy. One of her sister's name is Suzanne.
That's unusual but then you can name your baby whatever you choose to I'm Patricia but my Foster Mum called me Patsy and its stayed. Its OK with me @Von Jones
My mothers name is Ann, my middle name is Ann, grandgirl is Anna. Love the name at this point in my life but didn't appreciate it years ago.
My grandmother was Cora and her daughter/my aunt was Corina. My late sister-in-law was Agnes. She was named for her French Canadian great grandmother.
I really like most of those names!! I think recycling retro names for females or males is really considered cool these days! My first name isn't actually Bess, which is good since it's the only one I don't particularly like because it's a cow name, but I'm really partial to the name Helen. It sounds so very dignified. I also like Karoline, with a K, like my mom spells hers.
Well, so far seven of the above-mentioned names belong/belonged to relatives of mine. Four of the living ones range from 6 to 94 years of age. I guess we kept up the tradition of dull names.
