Our little tree, now 5 years old, after bleakly going totally dormant over winter, has at least 100 fruits! Last year, the birds partook of many, as I was lax in picking them. Many voices have contributed to recommending how to tell it's time to pick! They surely are picturesque looking little fruits! Wind was shaking the tree vigorously, blurred, but still nice.'
@Shirley Martin I certainly will, if I can beat the birds to them! We bought some netting to put over it.......time to do so soon. I have made pomegranate wine in the past: delicious, but requires many fruit. Frank
@Shirley Martin We both prefer heavy, sweet wines over those which to me come close to vinegar in taste! The degree of sweet or tart is carefully manipulated via sugar content, such that generalization regarding fruit type and tartness, for example, is actually a rather moot point. Frank
@Beth Gallagher The seeds are also said to be high in the same antioxidants as the pulp, though they don't taste very great. Some folks grind them both together. Regarding level of antioxidants, Pomegranates rank right up there with Blueberries. Frank
Yeah, @Holly Saunders @Frank Sanoica , I was wondering about that, too. I suspect it has something to do with constipation.

LOL! So you don't like the juice, the seeds, nor the flesh... I guess you just don't care for pomegranates!!
