@Beth Gallagher I, too, was moved to use that very word......however, further discussion of it would be indiscreet! Frank
@Beth Gallagher and @Frank Sanoica Haha - thank you, I'm chuffed ! Especially as its a photo booth shot
It would never occur to me that forumites would know one another well. But does that really matter? Didn't Andy Warhol say 'It's not what you are that counts, it's what they think you are.' PS: I'm being kind of dazzled by somebody's new image around here...
I think it depends on what you're looking for in a forum. I can enjoy discussing things with pretty much anyone but that is taken to another level if I believe that I know that person.
I totally agree, @Ken Anderson , and i think that there are some people that we just “click with” regardless of how we know them, and some that would always be only acquaintances, in any circumstance. When I first met Ina online, we had that connection, and I think that we would have remained best friends, whether she had been able to come out and visit us like she did, or not. Mostly, forums are just a place that I enjoy discussing different topics that interest me, and I find that the different opinions and thoughts always help me to look at things more in depth.
I was thinking of where to post my thoughts in the short time I'm here...and so far I feel a real segregation atmosphere. I've been a member of a quite a few forums and didn't come away with this feeling. Wonder what part of the country this forum comes from. Maybe too people may just becoming more angry.
I believe you were recently banned from another Senior Forum, so perhaps you should look inward for some answers.
@Beth Gallagher So, you've heard gossip about a ban and you want to make sure the person doesn't have a good experience here either? Pathetic. Judging someone you don't know over something you've heard - maybe you should look inward.
Joy, this forum has a mix of people worldwide, it's not situated in one place... some of us aren't even Americans.. wow!! horror!!!
