On the news yesterday was an item about a site that has been up and going since 2002 but just now hearing about the site. The info obtained about you, your family and friends are not always accurate and that is what is causing a stir. Apparently it isn't in the UK, Holly. I clicked on the site Gloria has and it came right up for me. Didn't do anything in it, but it did come up.
@Holly Saunders ...never thought of that but ...yes maybe not in UK. Why this site- no idea. And yes info on there is not always correct. Which really makes it even worse for some people if one were to belive this site..
Most of what it has on me is from Facebook, and a lot of other stuff is wrong. I used to work for a company that specialized in background investigations, and it's scary the kind of stuff that's available to those who have the funding and motivation to pay for it. I was also interested in the fact that some of our clients included federal government agencies and the military, as I would have thought the FBI or the NSA would have handled that.
My FB has never been public..and the info they have did not get off of FB...eyes and ears are Every where
My FB page is set to "Friends" only, but today, that really doesn't mean much, if anything. Actually, it sort of shocking, but if a person puts their real name, not a forum name, in the Search area online, different websites can come up that include you in them, like Facebook. If you've done a review of something bought, that website, and what you said, can be seen.
I think you are on to something Ken. I am not on Facebook or any other social website nor do I write reviews. I used my real name as here and zip code. They found 16 Jerry Adams' but not me.
Frank I have a lot going on right now so have not thought of using other people's names. I would think using real name would be more beneficial..or is this your real name? Plus need your zip code. You try your name see what u come up with.
