I've read some of this story but will read it all. Only in America. https://medicalkidnap.com/2019/05/0...-and-perform-cesarean-surgery-to-kidnap-baby/
@Joy Martin Will you agree there are two sides to every story? The article presents only the parents' story, but not the hospital authority's. I don't feel it's fair to blame "America", and am horrified that this happened at all, but must reserve final judgment until hearing more......Something, just something, doesn't quite "fit"..... Frank
There can be more than two sides to every story..Believe what you want. I question just about everything and I mean everything. I just posted this as it didn't set good with me.
That got my little spidey senses prickling. The alleged parents have set up a GoFundMe page and at the end of the page, they (The owners of the site) want you to buy their books. M'thinks it's a money scheme.
Just thinking about this Medical Kidnap, and it never entered my mind that this young couple were making up this story. My main focus I think on posting it was that these two are from two different ethnic backgrounds and I know how much prejudice that goes on in the world and our country for sure. I can't imagine what this young couple is going thru if it's true.
I call articles like this...S@!t news. Anything of this magnitude would make the five o'clock news for sure. But nice try on their part.
Good grief, more drivel and what a surprise, "GoFundMe." Do people work for a living anymore, or just post B.S. on the internet for gullible individuals to broadcast and beg for money?
I don't know what side of the story is true but I do not always believe they are the truth of medical just be cause they are the authority. My daughter was born here in the DR and when we went to get her they said no she has a staph infection so we said through our ignorance keep her for a while to treat it it stretch on and on finally I demanded my child they said no but we can have the child shipped to a hospital closer to where you live because I was traveling 60 miles by taxi. I refused one more time and they finally gave in and I brought by daughter home and quickly cured the infection. The cost of the extra stay was quit high and if I had left her there I might not have enough money to get my own child out of the hospital. Doing some research after staph infection are rapid in hospitals so it is the hospital that was the cause of my daughter illness. https://doctorslounge.com/infections/articles/nosocomial/staph_hospital/index.htm
Oh Beth, a little dramatic, of course millions work and some do end up down and out. In today's money driven high cost world, some people do have it tougher than many. The gofundme stuff is today's generation. I grew up pretty poor but made it as costs were nothing like today's.
