Although it's pinned to the top, I think this thread should be given some notice again.

That's true, Ken. But I think the hyperlinks don't always stand out enough in the text. Some posters may not recognize the hyperlink, unless it's named "CLICK ON THIS!!!!" or something. :D

They stand out the same way they do anywhere else on the Internet - highlighted in a different color.

Well, maybe it's my monitor but the color difference is minimal.

I agree with this. Even though it is in a different color, just one word of a slightly different color in a post is not always that noticeable. Sometimes people change font color for expression in the post or some other reason, so it does not always designate that it is a link, like having the “real link address “ shows you.
Also, when it is just a changed word, you can not see what website you are going to, and I dislike that immensely. If there is a link to a website in a post, I want to know what website it is before I click the link and go there.
I understand that It does take up more room, and probably does not have eye-appeal either, but I still prefer it.

I don't care about the space that it takes up, but it is is very unattractive, it breaks the train of thought in a thread, it makes the forum look like a link farm, and the search engines hate because they view them as unprofessional which, in turn, doesn't help in search engine optimization. The Internet has been around for quite a while now and links have been done that way forever, the only difference being that browsers used to display them as underlines, which also looked bad. Most modern browsers will display the underline only when your mouse hovers over the link. The links within a post are exactly the same as the link that takes you to each thread, to begin with, and people manage to find them easily enough. I used to edit posts to use proper linking, but I can't keep up with that.

Hyperlinking is rather fiddly @Ken Anderson. But I will persevere.

I like to use the hyperlink in my title, because I think it looks better. Some make a fuss. You do what's best for you.;)

I guess all I had to do is read the first post of this thread. I didn't know how to do it until now.

I'm going to read this all again tomorrow when I'm a little fresher. I'm a little dense tonight.

I've tried hyperlinking with Color, Bold, Italics and even the subject of the article or site I wanted to share. Based on the replies to many of my posts, it is obvious that no one read the linked article.... or cared enough to discuss. I got used to this on a previous forum and finally gave up. I enjoy "conversations" and back and forths, but one or two short sentences in a reply, that simply says "here I am" make me wonder why the reader even bothered to respond.
I realize this is probably snarky, but I don't need "cute" or "I agree".
Of course not everyone... just me...
Aha... but I think I finally found someone who is older than me... Jon?
    Cheers.
