I thought everyone knew Walter Cronkite was the newscaster with the liberal bias, and Huntley/Brinkley were the ones with the conservative bias. Even my mother knew that, and she wasn't all that much into politics. All you had to do was watch the coverage of the two political conventions in an election year to see it. I'm not kidding.
Sorry, but apparently "everyone" does not know that at all. I was just a kid during that era and never watched any political conventions, so I'll take your word for it. That said, I'd still like a newscast to be just that... a newscast with no commentary.
I'd like it better if they just had anonymous people reading the actual news. We don't need to know their names, and we certainly don't need their biases and commentary.
