Isn't that the truth?? I was just walking through the den when that idiot on the car insurance commercial was yelling "What!!" "WHAT!!!!" "WHAT???!!!" Really made me want to buy insurance.
Meanwhile there's that stupid commercial by a motel chain where they operative words are bad-a-book bad-boom or some such nonsense.
What it is, is an extremely effective marketing tool. While maybe not knowing the actual chain, each and every poster that responded knew it was a commercial for a hotel chain. Does'nt need a meaning to be a memorable catch phrase.
Agree. Just because a commercial is silly, doesn't make me dislike the product. I can separate the two things. Yes. Sometimes you have to watch carefully to figure out what product they are advertising. If I go to the trouble of doing that, I'll likely remember, but most times I don't bother.
We have all heard of the teenagers eating Tide Pods. Well, this is an actual laundry soap commercial from China. If something like this were aired here in the United States, it would immediately be taken off of the television screen, and condemned as racist; but in China, it apparently is just fine.
The commercial that includes the man with his pet EMU is so entertaining that I forgot the name of the product or service! Hal
