I resented that statement from Donald from day 1 as I always believed America was and is great. Too bad so many don't feel that way. Too bad he feels that way too, seems like America did good for him!!!!!
I never heard it from other presidents...and I don't hear everything and if they said it I resent them too. We are a great country....can we do better, of course, To plant seeds in minds that we need to be great AGAIN, just wrong in my think.
I've seen the coronation so many times ..tbh the B&W one was such a dirge, it was such a serious drab thing for such a young woman and young mother to have to endure . Recently for a documentary she sat and watched the whole coronation again with the documentary maker , and made the comment that this was the first time she'd actually seen it..The Coronation!!!,... !! Absolutely incredible.....and yet she was able to remember every little detail, from how long it took the Golden coach to get to the Cathedral, to how much the Crown weighed ( and again this had only been the second time she'd held it , since 1953 )
You are so right, Patsy. But somehow the Trump Derangement Syndrome bleeds over onto his entire family. I admire Catherine greatly; she's beautiful and classy. I have been reading the "gossip" about her best friend and William and I hope that is not true.
Do remember as a 10 year old a local hall was used with a bigger screen. I watched the lead up to it but got bored with the ceramoney and went out to play. One thing that stuck in my mind oover the years was the Black Women(Queen of Tonga) in an open top carriage waving to the crowd. There is a bit of her in this clip.
The phrase was also used in speeches[9] by Bill Clinton during his 1992 presidential campaign; however, it was not a slogan of the campaign.[10] Clinton also used the phrase in a radio commercial aired for Hillary Clinton's 2008 presidential primary campaign. WIKIPEDIA
She certainly is - just seeing her cheers me up She's had her share of trolls on top of everything else she has to contend with, but carries on through with a smile I too hope the problems with Harry and Meghan are resolved for Williams and Kates sake, when they have both seen him through such rough times. If Harry continues down this road - its William that will feel a loss 'badly' - thankfully he has Kate, but Harry for me, can go on his merry way, I just won't care.
Oh the "fab four" gossip is another news media invention, I'm sure. (Must say I couldn't care less if there is a royal tiff, though. I'm not a big fan of Meghan so there's that.) I was referring to the reports of William having an affair with some horse-faced "friend" of Kate's, though the woman's name escapes me this morning. That is the story I hope is false and I would hope he isn't as weak-willed as his father was.
Definitely false - never in a million years I love this coat, had a similar one in the 60s and the same colour too
I think that Kate is much more elegant than Diana ever was. She may not have been born royal but she is a credit to the royal family.
Today was the Queen's offical Birthday ( not her real one). so we had the trooping the colour on TV this morning, what a fantastic display that was ... makes you quite emotional to watch all the Horse Guardsmen marching , and the wonderful air displays I don't think there's been one day in the last fortnight where the Queen at 93 hasn't been attending a very important public function..Incredible at that age ( despite all the personal help she has)... she still has to hold intelligent discussion, and be active enough to get around. She rarely ever wears glasses, never uses a cane... her brain is sharp as a tack!! There's a lot of public hooha about Meghan appearing at the Queen's birthday celebrations..given that she didn't turn out for the President of her own country's high profile visit .. From today's Trooping of the colour..
