There's no magic formula for modesty and humility, Frank. I'm certain the standard of decency is different for different people. Some things are simply dictated by society, personal preference, and good manners.

I never sleep in the Altogether, nor in Underwear nor in that ridiculous American custom of Pajamas, with their proper Lapels and Buttons and cute little Pockets.....so much fluff! I sleep in a Sweat Suit ! A Sweat Shirt has an elastic Neck Band and elastic Wrist Bands. A Sweat Pant has an elastic Waist Band and elastic Ankle Bands. When you're in a Sweat Suit, you're sealed in your own warmth, and are comfortable with that fleece lining against your skin. I wore my outfit last night on the Hammock outdoors. My wife introduced me to Sweat Suits at about the same time she introduced me to Mixed drinks, notably Rum & Coke......Thanks, Judy! Hal, under the High Desert Stars in my comfy Cocoon!
Never mind sleeping in it...sounds more like you should be out jogging in it!! Good grief how do you sleep with all that on?...and fleece lined too
When I lived alone, I usually slept without clothing. While I was raising my son, and now that I'm married, I'll wear pajamas or at least underwear. It's too hot to wear pajamas in the summer.
For me it has nothing to do with modesty. I have mirrors in my house. After a certain age, I just don't want to look at body parts that are no longer in the same place they originally were.
Funny!!! But it never occurs to us when we're younger that we'd not look at least half decent with our clothes off...but heyy..it happens... ...although I have to tell you my o/h would disagree with my assertion that I don't look good naked...
