I went to the video I wanted to copy on YouTube, but I didn't see any "URL". I didn't see any "media icon" either. Also...how do you "paste" something? Hal
You don't need a media icon. Just copy the URL showing up right under the tab. It is the 'address' of where you are online. Once you copy it, just paste it directly into your post. Then after you click the Post Reply, the video screen will be there instead of the address you pasted in.
Go to YouTube. Find the video you want tp post. Click on "Share." Then click on "Copy" Come back here,... Click on the little film thingy. It's second on the right after the smiley. Click on "Paste." Then "Embed" See how easy it is?
or go to the Video...and right click with your mouse and copy the URL at the top of the page on youtube (that is the name of the video at the bar above the video you wish to post)... when you right click, the link will turn Blue...and a drop down menu will appear. scroll down and click on ''copy''...no need to do anything else then...come to the forum and left click with your mouse in the reply box, and your URL will ''paste', then pressthe reply button .. and your video will show!!
I do think, no.....I KNOW we have gone through this a few times before but one thing that wasn’t mentioned in the teaching is....go to YouTube and watch a video. Maybe this one might help and there’s a lot more links if this one isn’t appropriate. Personally, I just hit the “share” button Under the video and then hit the “copy link” button then wherever I wish to install the video I hit “command and v”. One other thought. Go to the library and ask the librarian to show you.
I went to the YouTube video and hit "share", then "copy", then it said "copy to clipboard" Where the heck is that? WHAT clipboard? Hal
Never mind the clipboard. Hit “copy link” or just “copy” but first watch the video which is why I posted it to begin with. Show and Tell is much easier than anyone trying to figure out exactly where you are at and what button you are pushing to get the results you are getting. Just, give the YouTube thing a try Hal. I promise you, it’s painless.
