I listened to this earlier today on the radio, and found it to be an absorbing and amusing programme, some of the interviews seem a bit OTT, but there are some interesting observations about how differently we converse on the internet compared to real life, and how we deal with boredom.

Dear God....sorry Terry...I tried listening, I really did...But David Mitchell is a contradiction in terms...what a Boring man he really is...and on top of which I can barely understand the self opinionated twit...so... much as I could have been interested in the topic... ..I had to turn it off after a few minutes because of him and his unintelligible guests!!

Lol Holly I guess its a case of each to their own, he is a comedian by trade and plays on his boring image, its all tongue in cheek but I do quite like his self deprecating style. Sorry it didn't work for you though :( especially as I think the programme content became more interesting later on.

I don't know who he is but I had trouble understanding some of the people too.

There is a lot of talk about smart phones and there is some truth to some of the things but they are here to stay and this is the way of the future...times change, people change. The older generation who remember snail mail, talking face to face, etc. will die out and the next generations will be dealing with even more advanced technology and then one day they will be saying remember the good old days of just the smart phones, lol. :)

That is the conclusion I got from the programme, I think he said at the beginning , ..... and does it really matter, I feel its a part of our evolution I love smartphones both I and Lisa have two each, Lisa is addicted to hers and I find them invaluable for travel abroad. I have not got involved with twitter and some of the other social networks, but do use Google Hangouts a lot. I look forward to the next stage with chip implants I guess.

I think they already have chip implants for pets. Also think that I've read that you can do something similar with kids in case of kidnapping, but don't quote me on that .....dumb blonde that I am. :)

I'm on Google Hangouts also, Terry! Small world.

It truly is a small world Chrissy and who would have thought that a Fresno blonde would have found time to be on Hangouts [IMG]

    Lol, English Humour! :)

He reminds me of Jon Lovitz in the way he looks and talks.
