The song was the clue.

 

I had to finally look up "noir." . So far I've never had to know what it meant. I just pretended the word wasn't there and life seemed to go on just fine. That search led me to the "hardboiled" genre, and I'm more confused. Sorry I ever looked it up now.

Anyway, I think this one fits.

 

Nancy it is short for "film noire".. a French expression meaning dark film or thereabouts. I suspect that is because most of the scenes are shot at nite or in dim lite..
