My girlfriend and I originally started this challenge on June 3rd. We both have a goal of 125. She has been on a 2 week vacation. Meanwhile I decided to go into a holding pattern, and practice handling calories up near maintenance, so we can pick up pretty much where we left off. Up 2 lbs, as to be expected. There are two habits I think I need to break---making bad choices at the grocery store, and snacking. I've learned this time it helps to eat enough of the right things, at one time, to feel like you really ate something. I can either do that, or try to learn to snack in moderation. The first seems easier. So it looks like the answer is pizza. It sticks with you and you don't have to waste any time cooking! Yeah!
Well, I weighed myself this morning and my weight was 211.2 ... I am only about 2 pounds away from my goal of just under 210... Started at 221.8 about 6 weeks ago...
And I am eating very healthy and lots of food.. I am also drinking lots and lots and lots of water daily... Although it is rather hot out lately.. I intend to continue until I drop a few more pounds.. 210 is my maximum I want to weigh but if I drop a few more pounds, I will be in better shape...
For the week: Weight holding around the low 127's. Averaging 1827 calories/day. Time to get back to working on the 125 goal. Maybe I'll just drop down by a couple of hundred calories per day. So boring. .And I tend to forget to record things when there are so many things to record.
Weighed myself this morning.... Down to..... 208.6 pounds.... Started at 221.8 about 6 weeks ago.. That's 13.2 pounds lost..... I feel good about it.. My goal was to be under 210 which I am.. A few more pounds down and then I will go on maintenance..
Forgot to report. . Weight holding steady right around 127.0. My girlfriend is back from vacation. She is at 129 and still wants to go for 125. Note: doctor's appointment last Friday: . Blood work fine; BP 117/64, no meds
Last week, I was 208.6 pounds One week later, unfortunately I only lost a bit... I am 208.0 pounds.. Not much of a drop but at least I didn't gain...
I'm not going to interrupt th balance here except to say I have continued dieting Since posting here in the recent past and have gained eight .pounds
Have you exercised or walked? Muscle weighs more than fat. Plus, it's not always about the pounds, but the distribution.
Bill, since you last posted here I've been stuck in a holding pattern at around 127+/-.. Nothing mysterious, just not cutting calories enough. Got to get back in the swing, or I'll be repeating all this come next spring.
Bill .............. Carbs, carbs, and more carbs are your problem.. Try going easy on the carbs and you can do nothing but lose weight.. I have been losing weight and am still continuing on low carb.. Perhaps I will ease up on the carbs a bit as I am at my goal, but I still will watch those carbs very closely.. I have been on low carb for years and it works .. its easy and healthy.. Losing weight comes by itself as well as feeling much better...
Calories still "count" but you can eat less and not feel like you are food deprived, if you cut the carbs. Makes it easier, at least for me, to cut down without counting calories. I always felt stuffed on 1000 calories/day with the right choices.
Bill... It is very easy, simple, and healthy..... I have lost some weight on low carb and I am still on it and will be on it forever.... Originally I weighed 358 pounds and now I am down to around the 207 mark... Yes I have let myself go at times and put on a few pounds, but back to the low carb and down goes the weight... You are NOT deprived of food at all..... Just carbs...
