I did Thomas - but I think we all know she's dignified - never seen her undignified in me life But ... Boris can try the patience of a saint 'and' a dignified Queen, so I think a handbag at the ready is a good idea @Thomas Stearn
I hope she has a sword in one hand and her hand bag in the other. When she bestows a Knight hood on Don TRUMP
Please don't read anything into the fact that I'm posting this. I just love watching the political debates in Parliament in the UK, no matter who is involved. Often I don't have any idea what they are talking about, especially on local issues, but I love watching. They seem to know how to debate without being mean-spirited and still maintain a tongue in cheek sense of humor. This is the first appearance of Johnson as PM before Parliament. Just to give Americans an idea of Johnson's public personality. Maybe it is not representative, I don't know. A few comments from viewers: "I don’t know what they’re talking about, I just know I love it." "We need to bring that to the U.S." "I could watch British politics all day! "
@Nancy Hart - as much as I have my doubts about Boris, I want him to prove everyone wrong and 'succeed' in his endeavours. I like to hear him speak and especially enjoyed his performance yesterday in Parliament. He was simply 'brilliant'
Yes, I have read that, Thomas. I still think it looks silly, though. I remembered the scene from the movie, "The Queen," where Tony Blair became PM... I just love Helen Mirren. And funny that you mentioned the Dyson; I spied that right away and thought how out of place it appears. (I have a similar one in my bedroom...haha.)
I read a commentary on Johnson's confrontation with Corbin. I understand he came out the worse on that one. The commentator stated that Johnson is concerned with a two-front war--both Brexit and the Iran shipping crisis. He is trying to avoid a shooting war in the Middle East while engineering a successful Brexit strategy. It is a tough job for anybody.
I have never seen Corbyn stunned into silence, his face was a picture to behold. More of the same please Boris, its about time he was told
No one has air conditioning we do not need it. Except for this week where it go a little hot for the first time in about 10 years
Might not be the last time, though. I hadn't seen 107 F in Germany for almost a week either. The trend is unmistakable.
Leaving aside content here, no doubt, he can be a fast speaker and speaks virtually without notes and he must have a resilient voice (Has anyone heard him speak with a hoarse voice like Th. May did?). I'm sure my hearing would get damaged in that room.
