Yea, can believe it, just don't think it would be acceptable today to have bad accents As I watch mainly older TV and movies, I am going back
Since the eighties I have not seen enough movies to make a judgement on actors or accents. But if I had to pull something out of the hat, it would be, Sean Connery.
Me either. I never ever watch scary or horror movies. This is why I can be in complete pitch black darkness and not be afraid.
I'm the same as you, I try never to watch any horror movies..I think the last one I watched was kathy Bates in Misery, a very long time ago...
Think theses two Americans got it in a nut shell. The last clip of 10 about an American born move to England as a baby and then move back to the US. Watch the accent as she is being interview by UK tv and being interviewed by US tv.
Aside from Gillian Anderson, I can't believe no-one knew these guys were British...especially our poster boys Hugh Laurie & Idris Elba
Anyone remember when Russell Crowe played in Robin Hood and tried to pull off a British accent? When an interviewer made fun of it, Russell got mad and walked out of the interview. He's a great actor, one of my favorite, but he didn't do the accent well.
I don't remember that, but as a new Zealanders raised in Australia, he would have had a better chance at pulling off a Brit accent than most Americans...
