Why @Michelle Anderson hates it when Ken enjoys therapy screaming.

My daughter told me about a service that lets you talk to a companion whenever you'd like. I found it to be quite helpful when I just need someone to talk to... It's this web site here https://elderlycallcompanion.com/

Hmmm. I suppose a nice hot bath and a good book. And then some ice cream. Definitely ice cream.

My most welcome Therapy is a Cocktail Glass filled with 2/3 Crushed Ice, followed by a Jigger of Bacardi Rum, and filled to the brim with Coca-Cola!

    Aaaaah...

Sitting in the backyard watching the fire. Something just relaxing and peaceful. I have a wooded property and never lack for fallen wood. I have a fire at least once a week year round.

    Whack A Mole.

I've only played a few times ever, but really love it.

Or, a good movie, which I don't find often.

Diet soda and pizza. I recently gave up diet soda. I think about it all the time. A whack-a-mole would probably be helpful.

Since I am feeling more energetic again, I have started taking along my “flippers” (swim fins) along when we go to the fitness center. I can really feel the difference when I am wearing them, in the resistance that it puts on my legs.
I usually walk in the water for a while, and I can really feel the drag on my legs when I am doing that, and then I do kicking exercises , plus the swimming.
Right now, I do about a half hour wearing the flippers, and then spend the other half hour just plain swimming. I actually swam 70 laps once last week, which is over a mile of swimming (66 laps is a mile), and that made me really happy.
It is still harder walking, especially when we go uphill, but I am hoping that as I keep building up my leg strength in the water, I will be able to have more activities outside, in the yard, that I can enjoy again, too.

I've done hobbies most of my life even while working, and then painted acrylics for 3 yrs and now since advancing OA and joint mess, I do little.

Love to research alternative medicines for myself and share with friends etc and just happy to be breathing good.

Have learned so much since I found NPR and glad I unplugged my boob tube a couple yrs ago. Don't miss it YET and probably won't.
