Immigration is “absolutely destroying America” Really? Well maybe he has a point; maybe he is right. Is Immigration tearing us apart? I'm beginning to think we are over diversified.
There was a time when the Irish and Scots were told to go home and could not get jobs--the same for the Italians and Greeks. Those white British folks did not want to mix it up. Which immigrants did Carlson mean? The 54 million legal immigrants here on work visas brought in by big corp or the 11 million illegal immigrants?
Oh, US born immigrants, and those naturalized. I keep waiting to be deported to Scotland since that is where my grandparents came from, or at least I am hoping.
I have no idea who tucker Carlson is. But if he said the "squad" were immigrants than he is a total idiot,by extension if you give his word any credence, well guess where that leaves you. Only one of the "squad" is an immigrant. She is a naturalized citizen and a properly and duly elected representative of her district!
This is why they had the Immigration Act of 1924. Even then, growth was occurring faster than society could process it and house it. It shouldn't be aimed at just one specific group because there are lots of great people wanting to immigrate to America from all over the world. But, when it becomes an unbalanced cluster, then it becomes too hard to control and infringes on the current citizens. I think the UK and Australia are both dealing with the same issues.
The crazy is that Congress lets in 200,000 a year legally either with permanent visas or 7 to 10-year visas, and then the people never go home. There are 54 million in the US right now brought in via the airport.
Absolutely correct Rene. I am of the belief that every visa holder would have to check in at,say, a post office every thirty days. It must be mandatory that universities report any visa holding student that fall out of good standing in the school. Businesses need take ownership of the visa holders that they lobby Washington for and be made responsible for them. Wife has a cousin, came here in the very early fifties as a child. She never became a citizen remained a permanent resident. You and I are now paying for her long term care in a home.
I have an ESTA to enter the USA but after a 90 days I have to leave but can come back next day for another 90 days. https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/esta/?fbclid=IwAR0eD-0ilo4OWg8M_czkySmrFl9n34qcuZiVETSmCbRySjTube0rfIfJjdI
And that is excatly the reason for the rush into the. US. Many foreigners come here to give birth in order for their child to be a citizen...only to return back to their homeland afterward.
