@Hal Pollner Sure, but HOW? The Nitrogen would need to be chemically combined with another element, which might then precipitate out of the air mix as a powder or liquid, leaving Oxygen behind. There may be some kind of osmotic membrane which separates the two, but I've never heard of it. Still an imponderable! Frank

@Don Alaska So they use Zeolite resin, just as do the water softeners! Only doing so with gases. Did not know that could be made to work. Considering the complexity of the mechanism, I'm surprised it can be packages so small and conveniently. Thank you for the link. Frank
