Did not think it was so recent. Swiss way was any one on National service(Draft) on discharge was given his rifle and I think 50 rounds of ammo. This changed in 2007 after a mass shooting. https://www.swissinfo.ch/eng/soldiers-can-keep-guns-at-home-but-not-ammo/970614
They do say "a Mountie always gets his man". Wanted fugitives Kam McLeod, 19, and Bryer Schmegelsky, 18 have been found dead in the central province of Manitoba. Several mystery objects led to the discovery of the bodies wanted for the murder of three people, including Australian man Lucas Fowler and his American girlfriend Chynna Deese after a weeks long search of a huge area of the Canadian wilderness.
It's such a shame for boys so young to just screw up their lives for a crime that made no sense. In the aftermath, regardless of what they did, there are still family and friends who loved them and are left to deal with it. The end result was still easier than a long drawn out legal process.
I always wonder if the people who do those things don't think about what agony they are going to cause to the people who love them.
A crying shame. The father of one of the boys predicted this.. or at least the death. So he and his mate must have gone of the rails some time ago.
