There really are so many beautiful places and landmarks in the world that it would take a lot of pages to post them all.

Some natural...some man made.

It truly is a beautiful world....for the most part.

I’m sure there are many not so pretty places too....which is sad.

 

Chrissy, I've just been on an excursion around Colorado and it is breathtakingly wonderful
I wish I could transport myself there right now - wiggling me nose does nothing

 

I’ve been to. Few of the popular landmarks in Colorado when I’ve visited my sister....truely amazing.

She hikes every Thursday with a group and sends me some pretty awesome pictures.


I don’t think I could even go with her to some....very high altitude.

After my mom got emphysema she couldn’t even visit my sister there anymore.

I posted a pic before that she sent of her hike yesterday and it had a bunch of what are called pancake rocks...pretty neat but I deleted it because it posted upside down, lol

 

You have a wise sister - she chose right on where to live

 

Regarding the Mesa Verde National Park......I always wondered why some developer doesn't use this idea to build an awesome community.

Its an ancient site - so best leave it as it is - tourist attraction
Mesa Verde National Park (Spanish for green table) was established to preserve archaeological sites built by the Ancestral Puebloans who inhabited Mesa Verde for more than 700 years (550 A.D. to 1300 A.D.). Currently Mesa Verde has over 4,700 archaeological sites including 600 cliff dwellings and the mesa top sites of pithouses, pueblos, masonry towers, and farming structures, with many more yet to be revealed
For more than 700 years they and their descendants lived and flourished in this region, eventually building elaborate stone communities in the sheltered alcoves of the canyon walls. Then, in the late A.D. 1200s, in the span of a generation or two, they left their homes and moved away

@Patsy Faye I didn't mean use the original one. Just use the idea to carve one out of some other mountain range. The desert has lots of beautiful spots. Of course, they would have to figure out a water supply, but it could be a fabulous place.

 

I'm not so keen unless its a fair distance away - some places should be left alone
