Isn't that the cutest little butt you've ever seen....Really, in the 10 years or so since i started on computers, this is the first time downloading anything to anywhere....pretty slow learner, aren't i. .
Think i.m now starting to get the tagged thing.......no stopping me now......doesn't take much to amuse me.....
If I didn't have a grandson, I wouldn't know half the things my phone does. I know what you are saying!!
I'm with you on that one. Wonder what young people think of our generation needing some tech lessons, aren't the younger generations the ones that can't do math without calculators, do they know what long division is, do they take a book and actually read it, do they know how to have a real conversation with someone but not with texting.....Good thing they're here though, who would we ask.......Computer Geeks ????.
I must chime in on this as well. My grandson helps me sometimes with my cell phone too mostly where to find functions I've never used before.
I taught myself. I don't have grandchildren to ask anyway!! My daughter now in her 40's grew up in the technological world, using computers at school etc.. but when I first got a home computer she was a stroppy teen and she would never help me!! ..so I learned myself, and taught my husband..who btw is now a Techie whizz...
Like @Holly Saunders says, mostly I learn by myself what I need to know about operating my tech devices. My go-to place is YouTube , and watch videos that explain what I need to know, as well as just searching online for the answer, and then working on the device until I figure out what I need to know. If I am absolutely stumped by something (and can verify that I have spent appropriate time trying to figure it out myself), then I can ask my Guruette (daughter Robin) for help, and she will tell or show me what needs to be done. But I have to at least give it my best efforts first, so usually I come across the correct answer somewhere in my searching. What I am learning today , is how my new Chromebook works. I have all of the basic idea and am using it just fine (although I MUCH prefer my iPad), but I still need to learn more about it before I am satisfied.
Chromebook.....Awesome.....Good for you....I've heard they're really good, and the battery supposed outlast the others....Enjoy. Think i've mentioned before, entered into the computer world only about 10 years ago, always said i would never have one, i'm glad i changed my mind, do enjoy very much, don't keep important things there, just do fun stuff like jigsaw puzzles, paint by #, colouring, learning about the world. Most of my learning has come from my own head, maybe that's why i'm slow on hear..lol.lol., take advantage of online help like ConnectPro, Applecare, YouTube, on Sites and of course the Younger Brains. Have done a lot of learning since being on this site as well. Have spent a lot of time trying to get something and fail, then the next time, quickly, go figure.
I learned that my solitaire game repeats itself. Also learned that it doesn't stop me from playing it.
