As suspected, the above was a fluke. Morning weight 126.2. Had 2 fried eggs over medium and 3 slices of toast for lunch, because the cupboard is bare of easy stuff to fix, and I'm house bound because of a football game. Sawing would disturb the tailgaters.
8Sept19 Weight: 176.6 Brushed off the bottom of my scale. Replaced the battery powering the scale. Weighed early @four a.m. Weighed a while ago, same results. I'm gaining on it, at east in my mind, way down south in Dixie.
I'm going in the wrong direction again (127.0). Is there something magic about Soy Sauce, besides the salt, that makes you gain weight?
@Nancy Hart Why is everyone so dedicated to their scales? Mine consists of a full-length mirror fastened to the inside of my wife's closet door, which is always wide open, facing the bathroom. (It came with the house). On the occasions when I "weigh-in", I start at the bottom, looking from feet upwards, reach the middle, shake my head (lately), then look at the face in the mirror. Shocking! Weight and appearance satisfactory from the waist down....... Frank
@Nancy Hart Ah, yes, 'tis true.......in reality, though, it should take equal lengths of time to create as well as fix it. Frank
In reality... Watch Monday Night Football, with an 8 oz bag of chips, 2 cups of roasted peanuts, and an 8 oz bag of Hershey's kisses, and you will have gained approx a pound (assuming you eat it all, which I could ). Do 10 hours of jumping jacks, and eat nothing all day and you should lose a pound (which I couldn't). Life ain't fair, Frank.
9Sept19 Weight: 177.0 In a six ounce cup 3 teaspoons cottage cheese, plus three tsp. blueberries, three tsp. frozen mango squares, a wglass of water and a cup of coffee; that was breakfast. 3 oz. baked white fish, a lg helping of mixed veggies, a large helping of okra, fried; a slice of bread, water: lunch. One banana, 1- 8 0z chocolate Glucerna drink; for lunch. I think weight, once started, is like a big, long freight train going down hill. It's hard to stop.
126.8.. Made the U-turn ... back down hill, hopefully. There was very little in the house to eat yesterday. Threw together some frozen ground beef and cabbage and fried it. Tossed in some rice on the second go 'round. It doesn't have a name, but it served the purpose. Must go shopping today.
I have just gone gocery shopping. Picked up basic stuff and few frozen veggies, eggs, bacon, cleaning stuff, and a package of coffee. This trip might be notiblefor what I didn't buy.

I weighed myself today.. its been a few weeks since weighed myself and last time I was 207.. Today I was down to 202 pounds.... That is below my goal...
Weighed 176 this morning. That's down one pound. I weighed two hours later and weighed 175.2. I thanked Nancy has already reached her goal recently. The way she and I are going, this could go on forever. And if I had a full length mirror I'd probably stand on it all day and primp. I generally eat what my wife places before me. Cooking is becoming a problem for, to the point of frustration. Most things she can't eat because she has no teeth. Me trying to diet causes other problems I.e. trying to fix me food and fixing her something else. In other words my dieting as I do is adding to her frustration. Therefore, I am suspending my weighing in everyday, and rethink my dieting situation. I'm at a good weight, my clothes all fit. Now, knowing what I do about My wife's frustration with cooking, partly by forgetfulness and partly because She has no taste or smell. I don't want to add to her problems, I want to help anyway I can. I may weigh in once a week. I have told her to fix what she can eat and I'll share it with her. Cheers.
