My old analog bathroom scale needs to have the zero set every time I stand on it. Which scale would be good for a 6' 2", 197-pound 82 year old? How about a Digital scale this time? Hal
I have both analogue and digital scales..neither one of them is really accurate ( and they were expensive too)...the only time I know my exact weight is when I'm weighed at the hospital That said, 2 weeks ago I went Parasailing, and they had to weigh me before getting taken up...so I got to know my precise weight then.
We have a digital scale, actually one of the electronic ones that connects with my iPhone and tells us not only how much we weigh, but what our BMI is, and several other things. I got it on sale at Amazon and I really like it. Unless you have the app turned on, it just functions as a regular digital scale, and then when you want to update the other information, you just take the phone into the bathroom with the app turned on. Regardless of what type of scale you choose, @Hal Pollner , one thing that I would suggest is to make sure the display is large enough for you to read it. Before we got this scale, I had bought a cheap analog scale from Walmart, and when we got home with it, I realized that the display was too small for me to even read what it said.
Thanks, @Yvonne Smith I'll disregard the "apps", because I have no use for them! But I will get one with a large display, and Amazon will probably be the source. Hal
I have digital and have for years. I try to ignore that thing,as I already know my weight- fluffy fat. However i have to weigh on occasion, because of this newly developed I have acquired. I am keeping my eye out for one that just says - You weigh less than yesterday
I think I'll have mine calibrated in "tons", then when I'm in street clothes it will indicate 0.1 Ton. Hal
I don't own any scales. I go by my clothes. If they are too tight or too loose, I adjust what I've been eating. I stay pretty much the same size though.
Usually a size 8 dress. Not gonna give you my shoe size though because I don't have your preferred delicate arches.
I just weighed myself for the first time in about 6 months, I have lost 3/4 of a stone ( 10.5 pounds).... I felt I'd lost some weight because I'd cut down on some sweet things, but I didn't realise how much!!
I'm another one that doesn't own a scale, never have, they are too critical. My weight differs around 5 to 7 lbs, depending on the time of year, the clothes thing is what i go by. Of course i have my setbacks, time to wise up. Am only 5ft, so i don't like to pack on the weight, but it happens. Chocolate is my biggest downfall. sometimes the weight just seems to go south . the older i get ,the harder it seems to drop.
Ditto. Although I notice that things don't fit quite the same anymore because my waist has disappeared.
