@Bobby Cole Alzheimer's is a feared word from a distance, and when the distance has been shortened, you're right Bobby, it's much worse. I do think and probably always will, that it's a harder world for us outsiders trying to look inside than the Alzheimer's patient looking out. I doesn't seems to single out the smart, challenged, tall, short, heavy, thin, and so on. The attack seems so random, don't feel any of us can ever prepare, avoid, or come to terms with this unfairity.
What i've learned in the last few days, haven't lost my talent as a complaining Canadian. This past week, out of seven days, five and a half were raining, Friday was the first day of fall, cold and rain, but the colors of fall provides a happy note. Harvest is becoming a challenge. So, since my refresher lesson on being a picky Canadian, will continue to carry on with my birthright. .
@Micki Pembroke One thing I maintain with absolute certainty: The quantity of Potassium contained in KCl remains unerringly the same, day after day, source after source. Frank
I learned the 100 calorie Skinny Girl frozen truffle bars were amazing! They were even worth the ridiculous price.
I wish they had never started putting sugar alcohols, Erythritol, Maltitol, Mannitol, Sorbitol, and Xylitol in ice cream, but it's probably the only way to get a really good ice cream at the store with only 100 calories, and a good thing for anyone who can tolerate sugar alcohols.
What i've learned today, have only today to mow grass, if and when it drys, after today, more rain. . With all the moisture we've been getting, i have a bumper crop of mushrooms. Have to keep them picked off, don't want my guys eating them. A haybine might be better than a mower, would wring out the wet before cutting....what a dream that is. .
I learned how to make Gezpacho...well at least I learned how to try and make it. My husband loves it, and we can't buy it ready made around here as we can in Spain, and he's been craving it since we got back in June.. so I thought I'd give it a go.. he'll soon let me know when he gets home tonight if it bears any similarity to the real stuff...
On a hot summer’s day, it’s the best cool soup / meal there is! Of course, in my most humble opinion it is. I do hope he loves it!!
@Bobby Cole , I'm happy to report hubs loved the Gazpacho..... he's had some before dinner, and he's going to have some again before work in the morning
Ah yes, I can feel the grin on your face through your writing even without the emoji ! Perhaps a bit of vino with that dinner, a nice walk under the moonlight and...........perchance a bigger grin when the sunlight makes it’s way through the drapes.
