@Holly Saunders You really have a really good eye for angles of interest and light/shadow contrast. Have you ever thought about selling at art & craft shows? You can sell with and without frames in a variety of print sizes, plus postcard size. There are websites listing the ones in the US and I would think the same is available in the UK and Scotland. With a nice display and your personality, you could do quite well.
Thank you Bess, I do get compliments about my photos a lot, and I'm always chuffed to get them despite thinking I'm really not very good. I wouldn't even know where to start , selling them or even showing them at art & craft shows tbh!!
I've done lots of art shows, but not for photo prints. They are wildly popular, especially at a good 11 X 14 size. Locals and tourists love them. Here is a site you could start reading on. It would be a wonderful way to make money at something you are good at and enjoy doing. It takes more than a good picture, true photographers have a special eye for interesting places and catching the light just right. Was that just a purse that looks like an accordion, or a real (miniature) accordion, @Holly Saunders ? Either way, it is amazing !
Thanks Bess, I'll have a look at that site tomorrow... . Everyone says the same thing about me, it's not the tools I use which tbh are pretty basic... but the 'eye'' I have, for the shot!!.. I've known people with very expensive cameras who take beautifully clear stunning shots, but they're boring... there's not a substance to them IYKWIM ...
A short video I took as well on Saturday afternoon , of a typical street market stall holder shouting his wares ..
You certainly have the eye for what's pleasing to the eye. Question. During WWII did they only bomb London because you seem to have a lot of pictures showing stuff that I would have thought would be targets,
OMG no... they bombed everywhere in the UK..particularly London, Glasgow, and Coventry..... !! We lost so many ancient buildings... however, it just showed how well our parents , and grandparents defended our shores!! ..
