Strange that it didn’t happen to me.... But then, I haven’t tried to download anything because I already have everything I need including a deleted version of Google Earth. Yeah, it still hangs in the background somewhere. Well then, it’s back to my original post. When one needs Google Earth, then Google “Earth”.
I haven't messed with Google Earth in years, but apparently it can be run in the Chrome browser without a download. I'm thinking that if Hal had it on his Win7 machine, it should have migrated to his new PC unless the version was not compatible.
Beth, I called Geek Squad and an agent in Kentucky restored Google Earth Pro for me as I was watching in California! Thanks for all your suggestions! Hal
Hal, this is just my opinion... but simply typing your question into a search engine (google, bing, etc.) will get you an answer to specific questions much faster than any book. There is also a great help function built into Win10.
I used to really enjoy Google Earth, but in later years, go by the street view. Fascinating way to see cities all over the world. It's like a road trip without the car.
Hey Siri.........I need a google earth app......... It might work for someone else but Siri hates me.........
Google Earth is the display of worldwide Satellite images on your computer screen. When activated, a globe of the Earth slowly rotates until your point of interest is centered on the globe, then you zoom in as far as required to view the detail contained in the satellite image. Hal
I just tried the street version but apparently it's only good for so far beyond city or town limits. I couldn't get to my house when may went grey.
@Bobby Cole That is totally mind blowing. Going to spend some time on that, hopefully downloading. Something new to learn. Awesome.
I thought you might like that since according to some of your posts, you are on a huge learning binge. Let the force be with you!
