Acccch..it's telling me it's not available in my region, Bill. I can get the main page to open but when I click on the Ken Burns country page..it won't let me view it...
We watched the end of the entire documentary last night. Showed the change from country music to country rock thru the concerts of Shania Twain. Since we really aren't fans of the really old country music, hearing how George Strait, Garth Brooks, Kathy Mattea and others started out was really, really interesting. Reba Mc Entire was a 100% true ranch girl growing up. Her dad was a world champion calf roper and she was a barrel racer. She was found by a producer while singing the National Anthem at the NFR, when it was in Oklahoma City.
@Holly Saunders, Sorry, Holly, that's the only link I know of. We can't get some of your shows; you can't get some of ours. I guess but stand to be corrected.
You can finds bits of his work on country music on YouTube, Holly. https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=ken+burns+country+music+documentary
