Bought a Tablet today along with the Port Adapter Best Buy said I'd need. Took it home and the Port Adapter would not fit into the Tablet's port. Took it back and got a refund on the tablet and the adapter. Wolf Man Hal
About 5 years ago the store that I worked at won a sales contest with one of the chewing tabbaky companies. It's an LG and I use it when I waiting for my wife. Otherwise on my I-mac.
I discovered that I don't need a tablet, because I've had one for several years, just sitting on the table in the hobby room, connected to its charger. I played with it for a few minutes, then lost interest. I therefore won't be buying a tablet. Hal
A friend gave me one as a gift a few years ago. It wasn't one of the fancy touch screen ones. It really ended up not being used, because I have my phone and laptop. In addition, you almost have to use it on a table if your typing. I prefer computer time sitting on the bed. My grandson did use it when he came over as an extra chat board while playing games online, but now, it just lays in storage box with other odd electronics gadgets I never ended up using.
@Hal Pollner Just wondering why you went and got a tablet, when you just got a Windows 10. Does your windows not do everything for you.
Let’s see. Go to Best Buy and buy a computer which they totally set up via Geek Squad. Go back to Best Buy where the computer was bought and they sell a tablet with the wrong adapter. Something’s missing. I mean, it’s not like they aren’t aware that nearly everything that Hal buys comes back so it stands to reason that they would tend to be a bit more careful about what they sold. And, it’s not like they do not have a record of what computer was bought nor the employee who set it up. And, isn’t the exact same computer on the display floor to compare the connections with? Strange. Very strange. Edit: It could be that the salesperson was a good looking female and instead of giving her the model number he tried to give her his phone number instead.
@Bobby Cole, I'm a happily married man and I would never pull that crap when I'm serious about a purchase! Hal
Uh, sorry Hal but I did think that the way you seem to continually flirt whilst on the forum, you would likely take my statement the way it was intended which was in jest. Now, the purchase. I still believe it’s a mystery as to how you got the wrong cable especially noting your other past problems with Best Buy. If the problems are indeed the company’s problem, I’d be taking my business elsewhere.
I ENJOY flirting, Bobby...it's fun if you know how to work it, and I've got 14 more years' experience than you do! Hal
So, you’re okay with being married and flirting but you get ticked when somebody notices it? That 14 years difference hasn’t taught you a whole lot has it?
