@Hal Pollner You must not have microbreweries where you live. Our Northwest ones seem to specialize in tap beer that is like asphalt with 8-12% alcohol. I used to love it, but anymore it is much to strong. My favorite is a 5-7% lager that has the hops bite that keeps my arches high. I have never liked light beer since turning 21. In Colorado where I grew up we could drink 3.2 beer at age 18. Drinking much of that low alcohol bitter flavored water caused more time in the restroom and less time on the dance floor. In Oregon they have a microbrewery called Hair on the Dog and they have a dark one on tap that might take hair off your chest.
(WXYZ) — Samuel Adams announced it is releasing the 11th batch of its highly sought after barrel-aged extreme beer, Samuel Adams Utopias. The beer is 28 percent ABV and is illegal in 15 states, but not in Michigan! Because of its high alcohol content, it is not shipped or sold in: Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Idaho, Missouri, Mississippi, Montana, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina, Utah, Vermont or West Virginia.
My brother-in-law is always bringing me gifts when he makes his annual visit from Arizona. He usually brings me Ammo for my guns or Knives or some exotic liquor. This year he brought a variety of Beers. Here's one very hearty brew! Hal

Yes, Thomas, the normal quaff is 16 oz, but I order the 32 oz (shown) when I have a large dinner. Now if only they had hearty German brews on draft! You're so right about the German draft beer. As for military ranks, I remember that the two of us are Corporals. So why Oberleutnant? Kidding?
