I also think it would be more interesting if you also posted WHY you chose a particular poem or how it spoke to you personally than just posting the poem itself.
How Howl Just give us the HOW already and we can add the L. Anxiously waiting to see what poem you post My favorite is the Raven Faye
Well, were you planning to post it just with the anticipation everyone else would want to read it? This is why books and movies have trailers or synopsis before their release. It tells people WHY they would enjoy the art presented offered to them. If you weren't going to say anything personal to cause others to want to read it, then you could just post the link. I have indeed been accused of being a bossy mom...............
@Bess Barber Well Hal posted it and as usual when you read his choice, you will see why no intro was necessary. Sometimes I feel Hal is the maestro and we are just fiddles in his collection ha ha ha!
Hal But the old man, posting lonely on the forum thread, spoke only That one word, as if his soul in that one word he did outpour. Nothing farther then he uttered—"not a chance," then he shuddered Till I scarcely more than muttered, "Other posters have flown before" On the morrow he will leave us, as my hopes have flown before. Then the owl said “Nevermore." Faye
Consider that maybe poets are just more organized efficient multitaskers and can accomplish great works in a short amount of time. I recorded a lot of my poetry one summer (on a pocket cassette) while operating a Case 580C backhoe. That is the way us conservative western girls get er done!
Presently, my Owl grew stronger. Hesitating then no longer Faye or Shirley, truly your forgiveness I implore, But as I was gently napping Came my Owl, her wings a-flapping Settling on the bust of Homer, just above my chamber door At me she stared, and nothing more... (to be discontinued...) Hal
