    I think that is Christian Bale. There was one movie where he played a walking skelton. Forgotten the name.

    I'm afraid it isn't Christian Bale.
    It's a German actor also staring in The Da Vinci Code - Sakrileg with Tom Hanks, Beverly Hills Cop II, The Seventh Sign, Air Force One, Baltic Storm, Ripper - and many others.

    The setting is in 1941. The director is Wolfgang Petersen.
