I don't actually keep that much food in my fridge. Usually, the oldest thing would be the last onion I bought. I only cut off pieces when I need them, the rest stays fresh for a really long time in a tupperware container.

I bought a bag of lemons back in the early summer. I didn't need a whole bag of lemons but I wanted some fresh lemonade and they were on sale!. How could I turn down a bargain like that? :) I made one pitcher of lemonade. The rest stayed there until, like you said, I could do serious damage to somebody if I hit them with one. :)

Come to think of it, that is probably the oldest thing is everyone's fridge!!! It should've been the obvious answer and no one thought of it but you. :D

A Light Bulb can't be the oldest thing in the refrigerometer...it was likely replaced long after the appliance was purchased!
