Ive talked to him by phone just last week....he’s ok but he is 95.

I think the format change on SF has stopped him from going there.

One of his twin sons lives with him now which is good.

He’ll answer the phone but seldom if ever replies to an email.

@Sheldon Scott That devastating " A " disease. So sorry that this was dealt to your wife and yourself. I think this is high on the list with so much uncertainness, watching a loved one slowly drift away, and out of your control. Hoping you're able to find a quality care facility that can deliver some sort of meaningful life for her, and some kind of peace for yourself, and relocating on top of this. My thoughts and hopes are with both of you. Alzheimer's poem #elderlycaregiver.jpeg

    Sheldon,
I am very sorry to learn of your wife's illness. My wife was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2011.
I am sorry to tell you that you are now entering the saddest and most trying time of your life.

You need the advice of an Elder Law Attorney in your area and contact with you local Alzheimer's organization
to assist you in establishing contacts to help you plan for the future.

I would be glad to share my experiences with you via private email or phone.

    @Ken Anderson,
Ken, Can you or will you please help Sheldon Scott get in direct contact with me if he asks?
You have my email address if he wants it.
    thanks,
    Jerry adams

If he asks, I will. Or you could use private messages here. Only those you invite will have access to it.

Ken, I haven't figured out how to use private messages on this site yet?

Jerry--the easiest way is to click on the poster's avatar, then click on "Start a Conversation." You will receive an "alert" when you receive a reply in your Inbox , located next to the Alerts button in the upper right corner of the page.

Yes, I should have mentioned that. Private Messages are called Conversations here.

Another example why Senior Citizen forums are great. It's nice when we feel we aren't alone when our lives takes unexpected turns. :)

We saw the lawyer today and Brooke was able to sign for it so I will get full power of attorney and Brooke's daughter will be named as successor in case I'm unable for some reason.
